Use a Student Travel Agency or Do-It-Yourself?
Let’s face it we are college students with limited funds. We want to go on Spring break and have the best time without going any more broke than we already are. It is possible to find good deals and have an amazing time, you just need to know how to find the best deals.
One of the most asked questions about planning Spring break is should I Do it myself or use a Travel Agency? There are pros and cons of each. You best bet is start comparison shopping.
While you're searching for spring break deals, consider whether you want to go with a student travel agency offering special student traveler deals, or make your own reservations by comparing the two possibilities.
Student Travel Agency
Travel agencies can make the experience a lot easier. They typically know all the specials and discounts that are available. Often times they even have a policy that if you find a better deal on the same vacation they will beat it. They also can get group discounts since they are booking in bulk for spring break. Lastly they can provide information and knowledge about your destination and answer any questions you may have.
Do It Yourself
The internet has made it easier than ever to book your own travel. You can compare prices, read reviews and more. However it is more work on your end. You will need to plan a good amount of time to dedicate to research and comparison shopping. You will want to find out everything about your destination. A negative to booking a trip yourself is that you may not know which hotels are a better location, good service etc. My recommendation is if you are traveling outside the U.S use a travel agent, otherwise you probably can book it yourself.
